- Refining Basic Acting Techniques: Build on foundational skills including an introduction to acting history, methods, and developments. Master your voice, mind, and body through physical exercises, movements for actors, basic stage management, property handling, and initial play production insights.
- Understanding Story & Script: Learn how to analyze narratives, effectively read and interpret scripts, and even contribute to script improvements. Focus on dialogue delivery, voice modulations, in-depth characterization, and effective floor management during shoots.
- Mastering the Camera: Get comfortable with the technical side of filmmaking. Understand camera basics, movements, and framings. Learn about lighting and art direction, get an introduction to editing techniques, practice acting in front of a green screen, and prepare for comprehensive film production. You’ll even participate in play production and project submissions.
- Core Film Acting Techniques: Dive deep into acting for the screen, whether on a studio floor, on location, or in specific acting spaces. Learn techniques tailored for camera performance, master character movements for film, understand the power of close-ups and eye-gaze, and build strong relationships with your director while handling costumes, makeups, and props.
